Description
One single Double Roman Corner left hand verge and eaves interlocking, concrete roof tiles.
The tile is super unusual as you would only use one tile per roof space. It is used for the corner and is compatible with the left hand vergeand the eaves run. Normally you would use a cloaked verge to finish a run, rather then the left hand verge.
This tile effectively has a third smaller roll or could be considered a triple roll. At the eaves end of the tile, the concrete roll has been filled to give a clean finish to the roof along the eaves.
In all honesty, I have not seen this style of tile before and it is slightly damaged or nibbled on the left hand of verge as you can see from the images.
Originally in sand faced grey, but now very weathered light grey.
These double roman roof tiles are unbranded.
They do have a faint number on the back. I suspect that they are Sandtoft, but potentially, they could be an old Marlet and I suspect will be compatible with each. The newer Marley tiles will not be compatible.
I also have the matching eaves tiles, regular double roman and also the corner tile which has eaves and left hand verge compatibility.
